Grab the new Freebies before they grab you

Hello dear friends of Jessa's Freebies and welcome to a very gruesome Blog Hop^^

We have checked out the useless trinkets freebies and they are amazing. Believe us. We have five projects to show you some of the awesomeness of these digital stamps. :)

Lisa's projects

For my projects as part of this special blog hop I have chosen to use Terry and Edey from Jessa's new and gorgeous freebies and here is what I came up with:

As soon as I saw Terry I was done for. He’s such a cutie. I coloured him using prisma color and put him on top of a small brain-heap, as this is his favourite food. To emphasise his joyful mood I used some bright pattern paper for the background. Enjoy your meal, Terry :)

Edey is such a beautiful girl who seems to be very shy and live in her own world - full of books and dead people. I like her so much because we have the same passion (the books, not dead people!!!). I colored her in with delta marker und fuzzy cut her out and added her to pattern paper and coloured vellum as well as using foam tape to get more dimension. Then I glued some sequins down and added some Glossy Accents to her eyes to give them a shiny finish. And because she spents so much time reading books (and people ;) in old and dusty libraries, some spider webs have crept in.

Katrin's projects

I don´t have to tell you, that I´m totally in love with Jessas “Morbider Montag” and her freebies. Especially Cookie Jar and Terry.
I was sooooo proud when Jessa asked us to join her DT for playing along with her  new  (and cruel) freebies before they are published. So, here we are with these new cuties. All of them are really great and I will use the others too, but for the blog hop I decided to give the zombiecorn and Terry the little “brain eater” a new home because I wasn´t able to choose one only.

I gave Cookie Jar (the zombiecorn) a chainsaw to…protect herself…from zombies…or maybe… to prepare her meal *eeek*. The sentiment I use means something like “Always be yourself, except if you can be a unicorn, then always be a unicorn”. Oh look, there was an accident, Cookie Jar lost one of her hooves by using the chainsaw…what a mess.

The favorite meal of Terry the little hamster is a fresh brain ("A brain a day keeps the doctor away"). And his favorite song seems to be “It´s raining brains”. Do you know this song?! It´s so cool. :-D
So I created a background with lots of colorful brains raining down on him. I think he feels like being in heaven...a very tasty heaven :-D.

Jennifer's project

For my project I've chosen the so very cute Zombiecorn. Adorable, isn't it. It looks like it is on the run. But from what??? Maybe a chainsaw, or an axe? Right, from a flying axe. Muhaha :D
And what would a Zombiecorn say in such a situation? Maybe say something intelligent like  aaahhh... ;)

I coloured in the lovely Unicorn and the axe with coloured pencils and cut them out. The background was created with Distress Inks, some sparkling embossing powder and a Lawn Fawn die. I cut a hole in that panel for my spinner axe. On a black card base I stamped and embossed my very eloquent sentiment right in the place of that hole. The front panel was adhered with foam tape (doubled up) to the base.
The spinner axe was created by using a 1 Cent coin and a round foam pad. Now it can hunt the poor Zombiecorn.

If you want to see the hunting axe in action you can watch the mini video below.

Do you like the card? I think it turned out quiet funny and will surely make the recipient laugh out loud. Even my boyfriend was excited...
