König der Löwen - Lion King

Hallo zusammen,

this is the German version of today's post, there is an English version below :)

-english version-

Hello there,

today I'm joining the Lawnscaping Challenge #102.

For my project I built a one-layer scene of african animals using the set Critters on the Savanna by Lawn Fawn. The simple gras was drawn in by hand. I coloured the scene in using Spectrum Noir Marker and then cut it out. I then stamped two additional trees, the lion and his crown (Critters Ever After, Lawn Fawn), coloured them in and cut them out as well.
For my background I used Distress Inks to build an African sunset by applying oranges and yellows after masking the sun. For the sun I used lighter Distress Ink colors and drew in some birds with a black pen. I created a mountain for the lion to sit on from gray cardstock. I added some shadows with my gray Spectrum Noir Marker. I glued it to the background, sat the lion on top and one of the two additional trees in front.
To build a shadow box, I created a frame with a flap on the left and one on the right. I didn't plan ahead and used white cardstock for that, so I had to use black Distress Ink to change the colour to black 0:)
I adhered the animal scene and the second additional tree to the back of the frame and adhered the frame to the background. I attached the whole thing to a white card base and added some details with rhinestones and a black gel pen.

You can flatten the frame for mailing and the recipient can set it back to its original shape again. Pretty convenient.

Materials:
Stamps: Critters on the Savanna, Critters Ever After (Lawn Fawn)
Inks: Tuxedo Black (Memento),), Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Black Soot (Ranger Distress Ink)
Cardstock: Karteikarten (Exacompta)
Colouration: Alkohol Marker (Spectrum Noir)
Miscellaneous: Gel pen (Sakura), Fineliner (Stabilo), Rhinestones

I hope you like my Lion King shadow box card!
